Mount Pleasant policeA 53-year-old man is in critical condition following a motorcycle crash that happened at 4:55 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of S. Fancher Rd.

Witnesses told police the man crashed his motorcycle and sustained a head injury. Another man, who was riding a dirt bike, was not injured, according to a press release by the Mount Pleasant Police Department.

Rescue personnel from the South Shore Fire Department responded to t he scene and brought in Flight for Life to transport the man to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee. Law enforcement officials from the Wisconsin State Patrol assisted in the investigation and traffic was shutdown for four hours. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
