Jamie Ferschinger, of the Urban Ecology Center in Milwaukee, will talk about how our food choices impact the air we breathe, the water we drink, the health of our soil, and the ecosystem around us. We’ll also consider simple changes you can make to help minimize that impact.

Jamie Ferschinger is a Branch Manager at the Urban Ecology Center – a not-for-profit environmental community center in Milwaukee. Her background is in Conservation Ecology and Naturopathic Medicine. She strives to live lightly on the earth and cook delicious, healthy, whole foods.
Representatives of the Wild Root Market, the Racine Urban Garden Network, the Gateway Horticulture Program, and the UW-Extension will be on hand to answer specific questions about better choices we might choose to make.
