Artists over 21 who live in the Racine/Kenosha corridor east of I-94 are invited to apply for one of four artist fellowships at the Racine Art Museum.
Funded by a grant from the Osborne and Scekic Family Foundation, each $2,500 fellowship will pay for expenses associated with expanding the artist’s career like supplies, travel, and studio rental. All media is eligible for consideration, and the deadline to apply is Jan. 15, 2016.
In addition to the age and residency requirements, grant recipients must also not be currently enrolled in a college degree program. Applications will be considered complete if they include:
- Artist statement of no more than 300 words
- Artist resume – limit of 600 words
- Uploaded images of 10 works of art (JPEGs; 300 dpi; 1800 pixels on the longest side; and no larger than one MB each
Artists who are awarded fellowships will be featured in solo exhibitions in 2017 at the Wustum Museum.
Award winners in 2014 are not eligible to apply.
