Enjoy art, holiday decorations and lend a helping hand in Racine County this weekend. Real Racine has you covered

Color everywhere. See 117 works of 94 area artists at Wisconsin Watercolor 2015. This popular exhibition opens Sunday at the Chas. Wustum Museum of Fine Arts, 2519 Northwestern Ave. The opening reception is 2 to 4 p.m. This year’s award winners will be announced at 2:30 p.m. Wisconsin Watercolor will be on exhibit through April 23, 2016. Celebrate the holidays. The historic Henry Durand Mansion and the Racine Masonic Center, 1012 Main St., are all decked out for the holidays. You can see what they have in store this Saturday and Sunday and on Dec. 19 and 20. Self-guided tours are from 12 to 6 p.m. each day. Admission is $5 for adults; $3 for kids ages 4 through 11. Blankets and music. An annual event to assist area homeless programs is back at McAuliffe’s Pub, 3700 Meachem Road. Blank-Fest Wisconsin IX features great live music Friday and Saturday starting at 8 p.m. Admission is one new or gently used blanket or $10. Visitors are also asked to donate toiletries. All donations will benefit local charities, including the Homeless Assistance Leadership Organization (HALO), Women’s Resource Center and Love & Charity Mission. Experience a tradition. A holiday ballet, “The Story of the Nutcracker,” will be performed Saturday and Sunday by the Studio of Classical Dance Arts. Professional dancers Yumelia Garcia and Mauro Villanueva will be joined by more than 80 students ranging in age from 6 to 20. Performances are at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. Saturday and at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rita Tallent Picken Regional Center for Arts and Humanities at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 900 Wood Road. Admission is $15 adults; $8 kids ages 12 and younger. Tickets are available online at or at the door.

Rock that sweater. You’re invited to break out that ugly holiday sweater in Downtown Racine on Saturday. Participating merchants and restaurants are offering discounts and prizes for anyone wearing an ugly sweater. For a full rundown on Saturday’s Downtown ugly sweater deals, visit

Brassy Christmas. Belle City Brassworks’ annual Brass Christmas is next Wednesday, Dec. 16 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave. The Christmas music program features the brass band, the Sacred Heart Vocal Ensemble and the Hand Bell Choir. Free admission; donations are welcome
