Jamir WeaverA Racine woman was placed in intensive care after she was attacked Wednesday at the Riverside Inn by another woman.

Jamir Weaver, 39, of Racine, is charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with battery, causing great bodily harm for the incident.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were sent to the Riverside Inn,  at 9:39 p.m. Wednesday for an unwanted party, and found a woman in a stairwell with injuries to her face. She did not report the assault when she was found, but the next day, called to say she had been assaulted by a woman she did not know, when she went to care for a friend’s cat.

Surveillance video from the hallway where the attack took place shows a woman – believed to be Weaver – punching the victim several times.

The woman was taken to Wheaton Franciscan Hospital, where they discovered bleeding on her brain, and placed her in the ICU.

Weaver told police on Friday that the woman had been in her room without permission, that they “exchanged words,” according to the complaint, and that she then punched the woman twice.
