The last full moon of the year will show most of its full face to us — weather permitting — Thursday night, but it will be its fullest at 5:11 a.m. CST on Christmas Day, according to Space.com.
Those of us on Earth see the moon’s beautiful face once a month, but this is the first time since 1977 that we’ve had a full moon on Christmas Day, according to a story by Fox 6.
This is great news because Santa will likely need all the light he can get with all the fog — and unseasonably warm — weather we’ve been having. But if you are counting on any weird things happening, this video by NASA says that’s an old wives tale.
