Four village residents will appear on the April ballot to fill 3 board seats that are up for grabs.

Trustees Carrie Harbach, Jayme Hoffman and Daryl Lynaugh are running for re-election, and Michelle Duchow is giving a run another try.

Harbach was appointed last year to serve out the remainder of Gary Johnson’s term after he retired and moved to Steven’s Point. She told Racine County Eye in December that while she did take out nomination papers, she wasn’t completely committed to returning them.

Duchow ran unsuccessfully in 2015 for the Sturtevant Village Board, losing by a vote to incumbent John Johnson. Duchow lead Johnson by a vote after the ballots were counted, but absentee ballots and a recount put Johnson in the lead by a vote, and Duchow did not challenge the results.

Hoffman is running for his third term, and Lynaugh is running what is his fifth term, albeit not consecutively. He served on the board for six years before losing to Hoffman in 2012 and getting re-elected in 2014.

The general election is April 7.
