Police found three firearms, ammunition and spent casings when they searched the home of a suspect in the Jan. 9 armed robbery of Your Mini Sweet Spot on Memorial Drive.

Nickendrick Jackson

Nickendrick L. Jackson, 26, is accused of going into the store in the 1100 block of Memorial Avenue as the owner was counting the cash drawer. The owner told police that the masked man – later identified as Jackson – pointed a long-barreled silver pistol at him and demanded the cash from the drawer, plus everything in his pockets.

Surveillance video and information from a witness who followed the robber out of the store helped police develop Jackson as a suspect.

Investigators determined Jackson lived across the street from the store, and on Jan. 10, they searched his home. They found several types of ammunition, a vase containing spent ammunition casings, a target with bullet holes in it, a rifle magazine similar to what would be used with an AK-47, a rusted single-shot shot gun and chrome revolver with pearl handle.

He is in custody on a $25,000 cash bond, and is next due in court Jan. 21 for a preliminary hearing.
