Racine will be getting a new grocery store at 1045 Washington Avenue.
Elsa Carreno purchased the former Carquest Auto Parts store at 1045 Washington Avenue for $100,000, according to Racine County property tax records.
Officials with the City of Racine said Carreno’s family operates another Hispanic grocery store in Racine.
Crews were already out cleaning up the property on Monday.
