During the week of Feb. 8 through Feb. 12, 48 properties changed hands and of those two home sold for less than $10,000.
After doing a little digging, here’s what we found out about them.
Kenosha-based R&N Investments and Holdings LLC, owner of 1012-14 Davis Place, sold the property to Kenosha-based RSB Real Estate LLC for $2,000. Built in 1914, the home had been on the market for $47,456, according to Realtor.com.
The multi-family home was the scene of a murder in 1992 where 37-year-old Lula Blair was killed. Thirteen gang members were indicted in 2001 on racketeering and conspiracy charges, and one of those conspiracy charges was related to Blair’s murder, according to a story by the Journal Times.
The property located at 2514 Gilson St. sold for $7,000. The scene of a fire in July, officials with the Racine Fire Department reported that the estimated damage to the home was $45,000 for the building. The home had been listed for $75,955, according to Realtor.com.
