Another home has been struck by gunfire, this time at 11:42 p.m. Monday in the 1800 block of Franklin St.
People were inside the home at the time of the shooting, but no one was injured inside after it was struck multiple times, according to a press release by the Racine Police Department.
While finding numerous spent casings in the area, investigators received word that a 19-year-old man had come to the emergency room at Wheation Franciscan Healthcare–All Saints Hospital for a non-life threatening gunshot wound. After being stabilized, the man was taken to Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee.
“The suspects were not shooting at anyone inside the home,” said Lt. Al Days, of the Racine Police Department.
Investigators canvassed the area for evidence and witnesses.
This was the fourth report of gunshots being heard by residents in the last five days. Still, in a couple of the incidents no evidence was found to substantiate the reports.
