Susan M. Serchen, age 59, passed away Monday, Feb. 29, 2016 at Waters Edge Rehabilitation and Care Center, Kenosha. Susan was born in Racine, January 31, 1957, daughter of Jesse Avila and Julia (Nee: Rodriguez). She was employed for several years at Summit Packaging and was a very talented sketch artist. Above all, Susan cherished time spent with her family.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Hollie (Robert) Reyes; her grandchildren, Shane and Faith Avila, Angelica Reyes; her father, Jesse (Maria) Avila; brother, Bob (Kathy) Avila; sister, Becky (Tim) O’Donahue; other relatives and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Julia Avila.
A memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Maresh Meredith and Acklam Funeral Home, 803 Main St. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Memorials to the family have been suggested.
