Math teacher Adam Beyer wants the Racine Unified community to know that his students are bright young people with futures despite and – sometimes – in spite of odds stacked against them. In part, he credits the small class sizes and greater opportunity for teachers to connect with students at Racine Alternative Education.
“I wish people could see how much potential our students have,” he said. “I really enjoy not just teaching them but talking with them about their lives and helping them achieve their goals … someday they’ll be running everything, and I want our community to be as strong as it can be.”
