Building a “Bridge.” The Racine Theatre Guild’s production of “Bridge to Terabithia” opens Friday. This is a story about a couple of lonely, bullied kids who create their own magical, imaginary forest kingdom where they can feel safe. The play, with music, is based on a Newbery Award-winning book. Performances at the Theatre Guild stage, 2519 Northwestern Ave., are at 7 p.m. Friday, 2 and 7 p.m. Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. “Bridge to Terabithia” will also be presented April 15-17. Real people, real drama. Over Our Head Players presents “Good People,” a tough-but-tender dramedy starting Friday. It’s an incisive look at old friends, old flames and the question of whether you can leave the old neighborhood behind. Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire received the New York Drama Critics Circle Award for this powerful script. Performances are at 8 p.m. on Friday, 5:30 and 8 p.m. on Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Sixth Street Theatre, 318 Sixth St. “Good People” will be presented on weekends through April 23. Yo-yo fun. The 21st Annual Yo-Yo and Skill Toys Convention gets under way on Saturday at the Spinning Top & Yo-Yo Museum, 533 Milwaukee Ave., Burlington. Celebrate internationally popular skills toys like yo-yos, diablos, juggling and cups ‘n balls. Participants can play with hands-on gizmos, experience yo-yo classes and show off a little. Love those supper clubs. Wisconsin is renowned for its supper club restaurants. The Greater Midwest Foodways Alliance and SC Johnson presents a free Supper Club Symposium at the Golden Rondelle Theater, 1515 Howe St., starting at 1 p.m. Saturday. It includes a panel discussion with authors Therese Allen (Cafe Wisconsin), Mary Bergin (Wisconsin Supper Club Cookbook), Jim Draeger (Bottoms Up) and Dave Hoekstra (The Supper Club Book) and filmmaker Holly De Ruyter (“Old Fashioned: The Story of the Wisconsin Supper Club”).
