Bonnie L. Rasmussen, 74, passed away Wednesday at the Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie. Bonnie was born in Racine, Dec. 16, 1941 daughter of the late Wesley and Eva (Nee: Carter) Bose.
Bonnie was a graduate of Washington Park High School, “Class of 1959”. On July 25, 1964 she was united in marriage to Harold “Jerry” Rasmussen. Bonnie was a member of Faith Lutheran Church. Her life revolved around her family, making her home beautiful. She loved hand crafts and dancing. She cherished time spent with her husband, children and grandchildren. Bonnie will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry; sons, Scott Rasmussen of Kenosha David Rasmussen of Racine; her grandchildren Dan, Brett, Dana, and Jonathan; brother, Wesley H. (Polly) Bose Jr. of Racine; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Richard (Pat) Rasmussen, Arthur (Dorothy) Swanson, Larry (Marie) Swanson, James (Jean) Swanson; niece’s, nephew’s other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, 11 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church, 8500 Durand Ave. with Rev. Jeffrey E. Mortenson officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service. Memorials to the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC Fund) have been suggested by the family.
