Officers with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit say one of their K9 officers took down a suspected drug dealer when he attempted to flee while police executed a search warrant at his house.
A 24-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman are facing serious jail time after the drug unit raided their home at 8:27 a.m. Wednesday. Once inside the house, the man fled out the back door, and K9 Friday from the Racine County Sheriff’s Department was deployed to bring him down. The man was taken to Wheaton Franciscan St. Mary’s for treatment of dog bites to his arm before being booked into the Racine County Jail.
Officers in a written release say they found heroin, a variety of drug paraphernalia items, and drug packaging materials. The suspects are expected to face charges of heroin possession with the intent to deliver; possession of drug paraphernalia, and keeper of a drug house for sales.
