Local talent — lots of it — takes the stage in Racine County this weekend. You can see two local musical productions, sample some brew and go for a run or bike ride. Real Racine has some great suggestions for you.

Fiddler at RTG. Tradition! One of Broadway’s most beloved musicals and winner of nine Tony Awards, “Fiddler on the Roof”, opens this weekend at the Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave. This story of Tvye, a poor dairyman, and his family carries the universal theme of tradition across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. Order tickets at 262-633-4218 or www.racinetheatre.org. “Fiddler” continues weekends through May 29.

Toe tapping. The Haylofters troupe of Burlington presents “Pump Boys and Dinettes” this weekend at the Malt House Theatre, 109 N. Main St. The boys at the filling station on Highway 57 and the girls at the Double Cupp Diner perform a variety of music on guitars, drums and even kitchen utensils. Opening night seats are $13 each. All other shows are $15. Show times are 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday. “Pump Boys” runs weekends through May 29. Tickets at 262-763-9873 or www.thehaylofters.com

Enjoy a brew or two. Enjoy samples of dozens of regional craft beers and homebrews at the Belle City Brewfest. It runs from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Festival Hall, 5 Fifth St. The event includes food and music by area favorite Bella Cain. Admission is $25 in advance or $35 at the door. A walk for success. Gather the family for some morning exercise at Power Walk, a 5k to support the Dress for Success program of the YWCA. Check-in at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St. The run-walk starts at 10 a.m. Registration is $20 for adults and $10 for kids. It includes zoo admission, a Power Walk t-shirt, food and refreshments. A Sunday bike ride. The annual Chocolate City Bike Ride is Sunday from Burlington High School, 400 McCanna Parkway. Riders can choose from 23-, 40- or 62-mile routes or take a 10-mile family ride. Each pre-registered rider gets a ticket to Burlington Chocolatefest (May 27-30) and free chocolate at each rest stop. Registration is $25. The family ride is $30 for up to six riders. Open House on the way. Make plans now to attend the first-ever Open House Racine County NEXT Saturday, May 21.
