A Caledonia man was not injured after he crashed the truck he was driving head-on into a parked truck at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of Johnson Avenue.

The driver was treated at the scene, but not taken to the hospital.

Caledonia Police, and fire and rescue crews from the Caledonia still had the road blocked at 10 p.m. waiting for two tow trucks to come pick up the vehicles.

Alcohol is not suspected to be a factor in the crash, according to Sgt. Jim Gardiner, of the Caledonia Police Department.

“The man fell asleep, crossed the center line and crashed into a parked truck,” he said.

No one was in the truck at the time of the crash. The driver, Shannon Fearson, was cited for failing to maintain control and not having a seat belt on.
