Racine Graduates Congratulations are in order for members of the Racine Unified Class of 2016 for earning over $5 million in scholarships.

J.I. Case Eagles leads the pack with almost $1.9 million in awards and are followed by:

  • Washington Park = almost $1.6 million
  • William Horlick = $1 million
  • Walden III = $660,000
  • REAL School = $108,000

For the Park Panthers, this is the most scholarship money awarded to any class in the school’s history.

Deputy Superintendent Eric Gallien told Racine County Eye that the record awards are examples of how students applied themselves to their education and the support they received at their respective schools.

“More than $5 million in scholarships is an incredible achievement and will provide many of our students with the resources to support their post-secondary endeavors,” he said in an email. “This is a testament to this outstanding class of seniors and the excellent educational opportunities provided by the staff at our RUSD high schools.”
