Caledonia Police are searching for a man suspected of trying to buy pre-paid debit cards with counterfeit cash.
The man, who identified himself as “Ben,” walked into a Speedway gas station, 4960 Douglas Ave., at 3:40 p.m. Thursday to by the cards with fake $20 bills. When the transaction was refused, the man left in a silver Chevy Cruze before officers arrived on scene. The car had a cracked windshield.
The man is described as being 25 to 35-years-old, having a goatee, and tattoos on both arms and his calf. He was last seen wearing a dark blue MLB cap.
