Charles DuziSteven A. Duzi, 98, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2016. Born in Racine on April 12, 1918, Steven was the son of the late Steve and Anna (Nee: Roser) Duzi.

He graduated from Washington Park High School “Class of 1936.” United in marriage to Rose L. Seitz on May 9, 1942 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, she preceded him in death on Jan. 23, 2005. During World War II, he proudly served in the U.S. Army in the European Theatre as a D4 Sergeant. After the war, he worked at Andis Company for 23 years before he retired in 1983. He also belonged to their 20 Year Club. A member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Steven also worked with the Holy Name Society.

He will be dearly missed by his sister, Rose Smith of Anaheim, CA; sister-in-law, Virginia Seitz of South Carolina; special nieces and nephews, Constance (John) Boticki, Cindy (Al) Noehl, both of Racine, Jan (Ken) Syman of New Berlin, Kathy (Tony) Van Reusen of Tucson, AZ; other nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret (Al) Klus; and brother, Andrew Duzi.

Duzi Funeral Details

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 A.M. Aug. 13 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Avenue with Rev. Ricardo Martin officiating. Interment with full military Honors will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M. Memorials to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or to the Virginia Adult Family Home have been suggested.
