Sally R. Tessmer, 86, passed away on Tuesday August 9, 2016 at the Elizabeth Residence in Franklin.

Born in Racine on February 22, 1930 to the late Harold and Ruth (nee: Hansen) Wald, Sally lived in Racine all of her life. She graduated from Washington Park High School in 1948. Afterward, she married the love of her life Earl Tessmer on September 18, 1954 at Atonement Lutheran Church. They were married to Earl for nearly 39 years before he passed away on May 14, 1993. A lifelong member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Sally enjoyed golfing, bowling and her time spent with her friends in her card clubs.

Sally will be missed by her nephews and nieces, Patrick Peach, Kelly (Terry) Ayers, Sally Ann Peach, Guy Bleichner; great niece and great nephew, Alyx and Jarrett Ayers; other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Sally was also preceded in death by her sister and brother-in- law, Patricia and George Peach and niece, Margaret “Peggy” Bleichner.

Sally Tessmer Funeral Details

With Rev. Dr. Warren Williams officiating, a funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 15 at Atonement Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave.. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials to the Salvation Army or St. Jude’s Hospital have been suggested.
