WATERshed Program Looking For VolunteersThe WATERshed program, which teaches Racine Unified students about their local water resources, is looking for volunteers for the 2016-2017 school year.

A program that teaches about water quality issues the Root River and Lake Michigan have had, the WATERshed Experience is a collaboration between the Racine Unified School District, River Bend Nature Center, City of Racine, and the Alliance for the Great Lakes.

Over 3,000 Racine Unified students learn about water quality testing, conservation efforts and how they can make change in their community.

A one-hour training session will be held at 9 a.m. Sept. 10 at the Root River Environmental Education Community Center, 1301 W. 6th St. Get more details from WATERshed Program Manager, Nancy Carlson, nacarlson@hotmail.com
