Officers with the Racine County Metro Drug Unit say a 28-year-old woman is facing multiple felonies for selling cocaine out of her home with children present.

Shanicka Harris, of Racine, was supposed to be charged Wednesday in Racine County Circuit Court with one felony count each of cocaine possession with the intent to deliver; marijuana possession; and maintaining a drug trafficking place as well as seven felony counts of second degree endangering safety. She also had a misdemeanor count filed against her of possession of drug paraphernalia. If convicted, she faces up to 98-1/2 years in prison and/or up to $210,500 in fines.

Online court records indicate the complaint against Harris was filed August 24 but her initial appearance was not scheduled until Wednesday. She was not in custody and is listed as a no-show. A warrant for her arrest has not yet been issued.

According to the criminal complaint, investigators served a search warrant May 13 on Harris’ home where she admitted to selling cocaine base to support her family. Officers found 15 baggies on top of a bedroom dresser with a total combined weight of 4.7 grams as well as a pipe and hookah with marijuana residue and other paraphernalia, including some in bedrooms where children could have easily gotten hold of it.
