UPDATE: Racine Police have confirmed that Joey Torres, 36, the victim in this shooting has died.
No suspects are in custody at this time. The case has now been ruled a homicide.
ORIGINAL STORY: A 36-year-old man has been hospitalized after he was shot in the 1600 block of Holmes Avenue at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14.
The name of the man has not been released. Racine Police do not have information on the man’s condition at this time, but he was taken to the emergency room at Ascension-All Saints Hospital.
Investigators with the Racine Police Department are actively investigating the scene. No other information is being released at this time, according to a press release.
Racine Police investigators are interested in any additional information that anyone may have about this crime.
