Prior to the normal public comment segment, the agenda had the Racine County Health Department talk about the need for an update for a Mt. Pleasant Ordinance. Ordinance 14-2016 was approved unanimously.
Public Comment was provided by Don Schulz who was concerned about notices he received from Postal Delivery personnel stating they are unhappy about the recycle and garbage bins being near the mail boxes along Hwy V.
The consent agenda approved the minutes of 3 Village Board meetings.
New Business:
Approval of the Firing Range Memorandum of Understanding between the Racine Police Department and the Mount Pleasant Police was past by the board by a vote of 7 yes and 0 no. An annual fee of $11,000 from the Racine Police Department for the use of the range. The agreement would last two years.
A presentation was provided by Doug Wheaton, Chairman of the SE Wisconsin Government Affairs of the Wisconsin Realtors Association.
Tony Beyer was appointed to the Regional Waste Water Commission as an alternative.
A number of changes in 7 Project Change Orders per the Village Engineering Department were approved by the Village Board.
The Board awarded a contract for the 2016 Catch Basin, Curb and Gutter Repair Project. The vote was 7 Yes and 0 No.
The Village Fire Department (South Shore) requested approval to purchase a used ambulance from a municipality in Racine County not to exceed $25,000 in a bid process. The vote was 7 yes and 0 no.
A motion to table 2 agenda items was voted on and past 7 to 0. These tabled items included a wage increase of the Information Technology Department and a Lead Accountant bonus.

Trustees: Sonny Havn became the owner of a citation for RV placement on his property.
Standing Committee Reports: Adhock Committee Meeting 3:30pm at Village Hall Sept 27, 2016.
Administrator/Staff: Chief Stedman reported that a Fire Engine is in need of an overhaul. The Village clerk noted that Mt Pleasant early voting starts on Oct 10 until November 4 from 8:30am to 4:30am.
