Citizens who don’t relish waiting in potentially long lines come election day can take advantage of early voting starting today.
Early in-person absentee voting in the Village of Caledonia got underway Oct. 3 and begins today in the Villages of Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant.
City of Racine residents can also vote starting today. City Clerk Janice Johnson-Martin’s office will also be open two Saturdays this month; the 22nd and the 29th.
Here are the voting times in communities in eastern Racine County:
Caledonia:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Village Hall, 6900 Nicholson Road
Elmwood Park:
10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday and Friday or by appointment at Village Hall, 3131 Taylor Avenue
Mount Pleasant:
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Village Hall, 8811 Campus Drive
Racine:
8 a.m. to 4:55 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 22 and 29 at City Hall, 730 Washington Avenue
Sturtevant:
8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday (office is closed from noon to 1 p.m. each day) at Village Hall, 2801 89th Street
