This is a recording of the Mount Pleasant Planning Commission meeting held at 1:00pm October 19, 2016. The main event, the same as last nights public hearing, was the rezoning petition by the owners of Campbell Woods, LLC. They were looking for a rezoning of the property from residential single family to residential multi-family.
After considerable discussion and additional public input the commission decided to table the requested zoning change subject to:
- Receiving a traffic impact study, a study on density and elevations as it effects the traffic.
- To receive an evaluation from a licensed appraiser to ascertain whether there is a deleterious effect on property values.
- Any approval by this group should be a voluntary provisional zoning approval with a two year limit to pull a building permit.
The motion was unanimous.
