Paul J. Hutsick, 77, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016. Born in Syre, PA, July 29, 1939, Paul was the son of the late Casimir “Tony” and Lucy (Nee: Lampazzi) Hutsick.

Brother of John (Diane) Hutsick, Joseph Hutsick, Diane (Felix) Aragon, Toni (Earl) Watson, Maria (Chris Basile) Hutsick; formerly married to Martha (Nee: Rocque) Hutsick; father of James (Brady) Hutsick and Julie Hutsick; grandfather of Will, Caitlin and Michayla; other relatives and many dear friends.

Paul graduated from Sayre High School in 1958, Manfield PA State University in 1962 and Arizona State University in 1965. He taught for 30 years at McKinley Jr. High School in Kenosha. Following retirement from teaching, he was employed by Schneider National Transportation, Batten International Airport, and Harley-Davidson Motor Company. A passionate geography devotee, Paul also traveled extensively in the states and visited West Africa. He studied school systems and the spread of Islam. He also visited Italy to seek out relatives and the village his grandfather lived in before he emigrated to the United States. He was an avid reader, motorcyclist, gardener, hiker, hunter and woodcarver. Paul was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church.

Funeral Details For Paul Hutsick

With Rev. Rich O’Leary officiating, a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 8 at St. Rita Catholic Church, 4339 Douglas Avenue. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hwy 32. Relatives and friends may meet with the family from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, and from at 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin have been suggested.
