The popular Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will make its 2016 stop at Sturtevant on Monday, Dec. 5, according to an announcement posted on the railroad’s website.
The brightly lit and decorated train is making its 18th tour of the U.S. and Canada during November and December to raise funds and awareness for local food banks. About 150 stops are planned this year.
Canadian Pacific reported that the Holiday Train is scheduled to arrive at the Sturtevant Depot at 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 5 at the Amtrak Depot, 9900 East Exploration Ct. Canadian recording artists Kelly Prescott and Colin James are listed as entertainers. After the approximately 20-minute stop, the train will depart for Milwaukee and another stop and show at the Milwaukee Intermodal Station.
The Racine County Food Bank will be accepting food and cash donations at the depot that evening.
