After hearing a man was threatening a woman with a knife, Racine Police officers responded to the 1800 block of Carlisle Avenue on Wednesday.
Upon arrival, the officer found a 39-year-old woman, and a 40-year-old man, both of Racine. The woman is being charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with disorderly conduct with domestic abuse assessments. The man is being charged similarly, though also with a count each of felony and misdemeanor bail jumping.
According to criminal complaints, the pair got into an argument that escalated to the point that the woman slapped the man two to three times.
The man later threatened the woman with a knife, at which point, she and her daughter fled the house and called police.
The woman was released on a $100 cash bond as well as a $900 signature bond. The man’s preliminary hearing is scheduled for Jan. 19.
