With her loving family by her side, Joan E. Armbruster, 63, passed away Thursday. Born in Milwaukee on March 3, 1953, Joan was the daughter of the late Richard and Carol (nee: Casey) Lorenz.
Joan married the love of her life, James Armbruster on June 14, 1975. She was a member of St. Mary’s By The Lake Catholic Church. A loving, loyal, dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, Joan will be best remembered for her love of the Green Bay Packers and her greater love for family, especially her grandchildren.
She will be dearly missed by her husband of 41 years, James; children, Alex (Katie) Armbruster, Casey (Nathan) Karaway; granddaughters, Anna, Kailyn “K-Bar”, and Brynn Armbruster, Charlotte Karaway; siblings, Sue (Jerry) Neitman, Kathy (Tim) Torres, Mary (J.S.) Holbrook, Mark (Susan) Lorenz, Terry “Buzz” (Kevin) O’Neil, Steve Lorenz (Julie Pankonen); sisters-in- law and brothers-in- law, Barb Lorenz, John (Barb) Armbruster, Tom (Mary) Armbruster; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents, Joan was also preceded in death by his brother, Michael; nephew, Scott and niece, Emma.
A memorial service will be held 5 p.m. Friday Visitation is from 3-5 p.m. and the service is at 5 p.m at Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, 803 Main St. The family extends a special thank you to the ICU nurses and staff at Ascension All Saints for all of their loving and compassionate care.
