Cynthia L. Bartlett, 64, passed away peacefully on Wednesday at the Zilber Family Hospice Home in Wauwatosa. Cynthia was born in Racine on Sept. 27, 1952, daughter of the late George and Maxine (nee: Mardis) Henkes and had been a lifelong resident.

She was a proud graduate of Racine Lutheran High School “Class of 1970”.  Cindy was employed with Vesta Inc. for thirty-three years before retiring this past year.  An avid reader, she especially liked mysteries. Cindy also enjoyed scrapbooking memories of her family who she loved more than anything.  She loved to travel, having taken several trips with her mother around the country, and had an extra special trip to Spain to see her son while he was in the Navy. She also loved taking her grandchildren on special adventures.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Sean (Teresa) Bartlett of Poplar Grove, IL, Tania (Christopher) Nilles of Wauwatosa; grandchildren, Samuel, Nathan and Hannah; brother, Charles (Robin) Henkes of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A service celebrating Cindy’s life will be held at 3 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Maresh-Meredith Funeral Home, 803 Main St. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service.

The family extends a special thank you to Cindy’s wonderful team at Froedtert of Dr. Charlson, Julie NP, Jan RN, and Carol, as well as Emma RN from Aurora Home Hospice.
