Inmate ImageA Racine man was arrested Friday following an investigation conducted by Racine Police into heroin trafficking.

Officers from the Special Investigations Unit observed Charles House, 59, making multiple hand to hand contacts with various individuals on the 1000 block of Hilker Place.

After conducting surveillance, the officers stopped House on the same block as he drove off in his 2004 Cadillac Escalade.

After searching House, the vehicle and the area — officers noticed that House was making the transactions. They found a large amount of money in the center console, as well as $122 on House’s person, materials for packaging heroin, three Viagra pills, and 2.5 grams of heroin worth $500 on the street, according to the criminal complaint.

House is charged with possession of heroin with intent to sell and possession of an illegally obtained prescription.
