A man was charged after shooting a man in the legs in front of the Just Right Lounge in Mount Pleasant.
Antonio Snow Jr., 22, of Racine, was charged with attempted armed robbery, first-degree reckless injury, use of a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by an out-of-state felon.
If convicted of all charges, Snow faces up to 65 years in prison and/or fined up to $175,000.
According to the criminal complaint, a man had gone to the Just Right Lounge to pick up a woman from the bar when Snow approached him. Snow asked the man to shoot dice with him behind the bar. Thinking that Snow wanted to rob him, the man refused to go with Snow.
Pulling out a gun, Snow then tried to rob the man and shot at him three times with a 9 mm gun as they fought. The man, who was shot in the legs, was taken to Froedtert Memorial Hospital and identified Snow as the person who shot at him.
Snow is being held on a $10,000 cash bond. A preliminary hearing has been set for 8:30 a.m. March 2 in front of Racine County Court Commissioner Alice Rudebusch.
