Two brothers from Racine were charged after being involved in a botched robbery at Little Caesars.
Victor A. Guajardo, 20, and Isaac Jackson, 23, were charged with armed robbery and attempted first degree intentional homicide among others, according to a criminal complaint by the Racine County District Attorney’s office.
The brothers charged into the shop on March 27 dressed in black and demanded that the employees open the safe. When one asked “why?” out of confusion, Jackson fired a shot that went through the wall into a neighboring business.
Jackson also hit the employee in the face and head with the butt of his pistol. The witnesses say Guajardo was mostly acting as a lookout and was armed with a machete.
Unable to get into the safe, the brothers took cash out of the registers and fled out the front door. The employees fled out the back and ran into the two robbers outside. At this time Jackson fired the pistol at them again.
The two brothers broke into a group home behind the pizza shop and stole clothing to change into. They also ditched the pistol on the group home property. After police recovered it, they discovered it was stolen.
Using surveillance video and witness testimonies police tracked down and arrested the brothers. When Jackson’s home was searched police located over 31 grams of cocaine.
Jackson is charged with armed robbery, attempted first degree intentional homicide, substantial and misdemeanor battery. Guajardo is charged as a party to those crimes. Jackson is also charged with burglary, criminal trespass, possession of a firearm as a felon and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute
