A man was arrested in Mount Pleasant Tuesday for driving under the influence after police got calls that he walked into an AT&T Store and asked for chicken.

Fernando F. Zamora, 54, of Kenosha, stumbled into the cell phone store and asked for chicken then walked into a window while attempting to leave before managing to exit the store and get into his vehicle, according to criminal complaints.

Zamora was first located by Mount Pleasant police slowly pulling into an intersection during a red light, before stopping completely in the middle of the intersection. After being motioned to pull over, the office asked Zamora to produce a driver’s license. But Zamora handed the officer an emissions document.

Zamora passed a breathalyzer, but failed several field sobriety tests. He told police he had taken Xanax and Adderall that day.

He was charged with felony bail jumping and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.
