With his loving family and friends by his side in his final days, Joseph L. “Bud” Venturini, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 after a long struggle with cancer. Joseph was born in Racine on March 3, 1935, and was the son of the late Joseph D. and Agnes (nee: Grabowski) Venturini. He attended Sacred Heart Grade School, St. Catherine’s High School, Marquette University, and Dominican College, and ultimately graduated with a Master’s degree from the University of Minnesota. He started his career as a local educator at Union Grove High School and later advanced his career by working for JI Case Company. In 1970 Bud was relocated to Sao Paulo as the General Manager of their manufacturing plant. He retired in 2001 after his time with JI Case and employment with other American companies located in Brazil.
Bud will be dearly missed by his children, Jay, Jackie, Jane, Theresa, Maria and Rafael; wife, Vera; sisters, Marcia and Donald Paar, Sandra McCall, brother-in-law, Robert Kiernan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Bud was also preceded in death by his son Joey and his sister, Connie Kiernan.
A memorial service was held for Joseph in Brazil.
