Rafael Figueroa, 89, passed away on Monday at the Villa at Lincoln Park. Rafael was born in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, on February 5, 1928, and was the son of the late Nicolas and Teresa (Nee: Amador) Figueroa.
On May 22, 1971 at San Juan Bosco Catholic Church, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Gregoria Garcia. Rafael was employed for eighteen years by Racine Unified School District. He was a member of Cristo Rey Catholic Church. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching the Brewers, playing dominoes, and listening to music.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Gregoria; his sisters, Calendaria (Justo Diaz) Figueroa, Arcadia Figueroa; sisters-in-law, Ernestina Rosario, Isabel Garcia Rosa, Brigida Ortiz; other relatives and dear friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family on Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
