UPDATE: The human remains found near S. Sylvania Avenue just north of Highway KR have been identified as Audrey M. Scott, 28, of Milwaukee.
Scott had been missing since July 4 after having a fight with her ex-boyfriend, according to a story by Fox 6.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case as a homicide. There are several persons of interest in custody and the investigation is ongoing. The Milwaukee
“There are several persons of interest in custody and the investigation is ongoing,” according to a press release by the Racine County Sheriff’s Department. “The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s office conducted the autopsy.”
Officials are not releasing any more information at this time.
ORIGINAL STORY: After human remains were found near the Interstate and Highway KR Wednesday morning, the death has been ruled suspicious.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Department is working to confirm the victim’s identity.
Few details have been released, but officials believe the person is from the Milwaukee area.
