A happy, colorful weekend is ahead in Racine County. The Color Run Racine (aka the Happiest 5k on the Planet) is a great start. You’ll also find village celebrations, living history, comedy theater and one of the area’s largest beer festivals. Real Racine is here to help you get happy!

Get colorful! The Color Run makes its ONLY Wisconsin appearance this year starting at 9 a.m. Saturday at Pershing Park on the lakefront. The all-new Dream Tour takes 5k runners and walkers on a dreamy trip through the Downtown area with giant unicorns, a Fog Dream zone and, of course brightly colored cornstarch tosses. After crossing the finish line, there’s a big, big post-run party with music, color tosses and fun! Early packet pick up and registration is from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Pershing Park site. Experience history. See farm life the way it used to be! The 26th Annual Fall Harvest Days is Friday through Sunday at the Racine County Fairgrounds, 19805 Durand Ave., Union Grove. Antique farm tractors, farm equipment, gasoline engines, cars and trucks are on display all weekend. There are also daily demonstrations of threshing, wood cutting and more. Enter the raffle to win a restored 1959 Case farm tractors. Show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is $7 for adults. Children ages 12 and younger get in free.

On stage at RTG. The Racine Theatre Guild, 2519 Northwestern Ave., starts its 80th season this weekend with a mile-high comedy “Boeing, Boeing.” In this classic farce, Bernard juggles three flight attendant fiancees, who are all from different countries. Then, all three woman unexpectedly arrive in town on the same evening! Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sunday. “Boeing, Boeing” runs through Oct. 1. Mount Pleasant Day is back. The Village of Mount Pleasant celebrates from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Saturday with a free, block party-like family event. Mount Pleasant Day includes vendors, food samples, fire/rescue equipment displays and prizes at the Civic Center Campus, 8811 Campus Drive. Free admission. Bring two non-perishable food items for the Racine County Food Bank for a free raffle ticket.

Come to the country. Everyone’s invited to A Day in the Country in the Village of Rochester on Saturday. This event starts with a 5k run at 8:30 a.m. There is also a craft fair, live music, a pie auction, kids games and more through 3 p.m.

Bottoms up. The Great Lakes Brew Fest (GLBF) brings one of the region’s biggest beer tasting events to the Racine Zoo, 2131 N. Main St., from 3 to 6:30 p.m. this Saturday. It features samples of 250+ craft beers, ciders and sodas from nearly 100 brewers. Paid attendees receive a souvenir tasting glass. There are also performances by the Rock Daddies and the famous Kilties Drum & Bugle Corps. General admission is $50. Designated driver admission is $18.
