Marcelo Pantig Jr., 63, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, September 8, 2017.  Marcelo was born on December 15, 1953 in Jacksonville, Florida, and was the son of the late Marcelo and Connie (Nee: Baranski) Pantig Sr.

Marcelo graduated with a teaching certificate from Westfield State College in Connecticut in 1978, and moved to North Dakota where he taught special education.  In 1981, he moved to Kenosha and taught at Lincoln Elementary School for the next 35 years.  Marcelo enjoyed life living in downtown Racine and was known working at the Fifth Street Boat Ramp, or bartending either at Evelyn’s Club Main or for DRC at Party on the Pavement and other downtown functions.

On October 15, 2015, he was united in marriage to his partner of 36 years, Mark C. Allen who survives him. He is further survived by his siblings, Pat (Jeff) Burgess of North Kingstown, Rhode Island, Dennis (Diane) Pantig, and Kathy (Jeff) Gity all of North Kingstown, Rhode Island; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

A celebration of Marcelo’s life will be held at Maxine’s on Sunday, October 15, 2017.  Packer attire is encouraged as everyone is invited to watch the Packer game at noon followed by a service at 3:30 p.m. with Reverend Dr. Tony Larsen officiating.
