Dorothy A. Peyton, 86, passed away on Friday surrounded by her family at her residence. Dorothy was born in Racine, Wisconsin on August 2, 1931 and was the daughter of the late Charles and Frieda (Nee; Habada) Musil.
Dorothy graduated as an honor student from St. Catherine’s High School, “Class of 1947”. On November 11, 1950, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church she was united in marriage to Jerome Peyton. Dorothy was employed by Racine County as a secretary in the planning and development department. She was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge but more than anything she cherished time spent with her family. She was loved dearly and will be sadly missed.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Jerry; children John Peyton; Mike (Lisa) Peyton; Laura (Randy) Lieungh; eleven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; sisters, Charlene Jensen, Marilyn (Richard) Schultz; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, James Peyton, Ruth DeMint, Mary (Dave) Jones; nieces, nephews other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to her parent’s she also was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda and her granddaughter Sarah and her brother, Raymond.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are welcome to meet with the family at the funeral home for Visitation on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. until time of service. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum Hwy 32.
