Foxconn Technology Group is expected to announce the site of its $10 billion, 20-million-square-foot advanced display manufacturing campus at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the SC Johnson iMet Center, 2320 Renaissance Boulevard.

The general footprint is expected to be in Mount Pleasant and Sturtevant.

Governor Scott Walker signed a $3 billion 15-year tax incentive package in September to establish Wisconnn Valley. The deal represents the largest economic development project in Wisconsin history and the largest greenfield investment in U.S. history, as measured by jobs.

Hinged on Foxconn making $10 billion in capital expenditures and hiring employees at the plant, the tax incentive package is expected spur 10,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent hires to work at the plant.

Foxconn: Wisconn Valley By The Numbers

The Village of Mount Pleasant hired a project coordinator for the Foxconn project last month. It also requested that the Racine Water and Wastewater Utility expand and extend water and sewer capacity for an anticipated development. But a letter from Mount Pleasant officials to the Racine Water Utility defines the TIF boundaries as the area south of Highway 11, east of Interstate 94 and west of Highway H. Racine County Eye has spoken with several sources that have said that is the property Foxconn has extended several options to purchase to landowners.

Foxconn will host a product showcase that will feature its high-tech products. The display will be open to the public from 2 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday.
