UPDATE: According to Pearson’s mother, the boy was found Saturday afternoon.
ORIGINAL STORY: A 14-year-old boy who is a freshman at Horlick High School has been listed as missing by the Racine Police Department since Friday night.
Nasir Pearson has been missing since Thursday afternoon. When he didn’t come home Thursday night, Nasir’s mother, Amie Klein, grew worried and called the police. But they said her son had to be missing for more than 24 hours for them to take a police report. Friday morning, Klein called school officials who told her that he never made it to school that morning.
She filed a missing person report with the Racine Police Department Friday night, according to the Racine County Joint Dispatch Center.
“I know nothing at all,” she said. “He normally checks in and will call to say where he will be. But this time… Nothing.”
Since then she has checked in with his friends who said they saw Nasir Thursday in school, but they didn’t know where he was after that. Klein also reached out to Nasir on his cell phone, Facebook page, and to his friends, but got no response.
He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.
He is described as being five-foot two-inches tall, about 130 pounds and having brown eyes. His hair is also high on top and short on top. He limps because he has an ankle brace from an injury he had in March.
