A 34-year-old woman is facing her sixth OWI after she failed field sobriety tests when they pulled her over on I-94 for speeding, Wisconsin State troopers say.
Jennifer Kutzner, of Caledonia, was charged Friday in Racine County Circuit Court with a felony count of operating while intoxicated, 6th offense. If convicted, she could serve up to 10 years in prison and/or pay up to $25,000 in fines.
According to the criminal complaint, troopers on Thursday pulled Kutzner over at the Highway K exit on I-94 for driving well above the speed limit. They observed Kutzner’s dazed expression and slow speech and asked her to step out of the car.
Troopers say they had Kutzner perform three field sobriety tests, all of which she failed. They also witnessed an open glass of vodka in the center console and prescriptions for two different medications.
Kutzner remains in the Racine County Jail on a $2,000 cash bond. She will next be in court Oct. 18 for her preliminary hearing.
