City of Racine residents will head to the polls Tuesday to vote in a special election for Mayor of Racine.

Cory Mason Sandy Weidner special electionCandidates vying for the seat are Cory Mason and Sandy Weidner. Former Mayor John Dickert announced in March that he planned to resign at the end of the summer to become the president and chief administrative officer of the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Cities Initiative.

One Polling Place Change Made

Voters living in District 9 Ward 20 will no longer vote at Greater Prayer Works. Instead, they will vote at Living Faith Lutheran Church, 2915 Wright Ave.

Special Election Information

Hours:  The polls are open 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  • Sample Ballot: To see a sample ballot, go to the state’s My Vote Wisconsin website and enter your address.
  • Polling locations: Your specific polling location can be found on the My Vote Wisconsin site. Or you can visit the City’s elections website for a list of all polling places in Racine.
  • Voter ID: You will need to bring a proof of residence to register to vote. For more information on the Voter ID law, visit the state’s election website.
