The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will once again pull into Sturtevant to raise money and food donations for the Racine County Food Bank.
The brightly lit, full-size locomotive will stop at the Sturtevant railroad station at 5:25 p.m. Dec. 2.
Canadian Pacific made the announcement Thursday on its website.
Area residents are encouraged to bring food and/or cash donations that directly benefit the Racine County Food Bank, which supplies food for needy neighbors across Racine County throughout the year.
The train has been stopping in Sturtevant since 2003, and being there to watch the train’s arrival followed by a visit from Santa and a live performance has become an annual tradition for many families.
Since the train started stopping in Sturtevant, area residents have donated tens of thousands of pounds of food and thousands of dollars.
All money and food collected at the train top stays with the Racine County Food Bank.
