An arrest warrant has been issued for a 37-year-old Kenosha woman after she failed to come to court on Wednesday after she wrongly accused a person for being her drug dealer.
Lisa Geiger was charged by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office with a felony count of false swearing and obstructing a police officer. If convicted on both charges, she faces up to six years nine months in prison and/or fined up to $20,000.
According to the criminal complaint, officers found Geiger passed out in a car on July 18 at Harvey and Shelly drive with a needle sticking out of her arm. Officers with the Racine Police Department had to bang on the door loudly to get her to wake up. They then tried to break the window with a tool. The window didn’t break, but the noise woke Geiger up.
Geiger told police she was diabetic, but in searching her car they found four bundles of heroin, metal tins, and burnt spoons. Geiger told the officer the name of the person she bought the heroin from and they were able to arrest him based on her statements.
But investigators weren’t able to collaborate her story as there weren’t any phone calls or messages from the alleged drug dealer, nor did a video show that the deal had occurred where she said it had.
An extradition was modified for Geiger’s arrest in court on Wednesday.
