Surrounded by his loving family, Hans H. Haubrich, 87, passed away on Sunday at his residence. Hans was born in Yugoslavia on January 17, 1931,and was the son of the late Stephen and Anna (Nee: Hoffman) Haubrich, and immigrated to the United States in 1949 at the age of nineteen.
On July 16, 1955 he was united in marriage to Anne E. Petersen. Hans owned and operated Triangle Realty for thirty years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Deutscher Männer Verein for over sixty years, loved to travel, and was an avid golfer regularly seen at Johnson Park. More than anything Hans enjoyed time spent with his family in Venice, Florida and was a member of Plantation Golf and Country Club.
He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of sixty-two years, Anne; his children, Jeffrey (Joy) Haubrich of Raymond, Erica (Jeffrey) Moranski of New Berlin; his grandchildren, Melanie, Jared, Kierstyn, and Christian; sisters-in-law, Barbara Haubrich of Chicago, IL, Patricia Petersen of Racine; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Stefan Haubrich; and brother-in-law, Eric Petersen.
Funeral services will be held at the Maresh-Meredith & Acklam Funeral Home on Friday at 11:30 a.m. with Chaplain Terry Peterson officiating. Entombment will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to one’s favorite charity have been suggested.
